Design-Led Nexus Approach for Resilient & Sustainable Urbanization

While staying home and work online echo in the world, the resilience and sustainability of modern cities are being tested in a surge of the Covid-19 pandemic. It is urgent to think about how to survive from the unprecedented crisis, how to adapt to the new normal of business and lifestyles, and how to rebuild our city more resilient and sustainable in the new conditions. Granted by Belmont Forum since 2018, M-NEX project is developing a design-led nexus approach for innovation of urban food-energy-water (FEW) management and practicing in 6cities in the world, including Amsterdam, Belfast, Detroit, Doha, Sydney, and Tokyo. This virtual workshop presents the latest achievements of the team and demonstrates the procedures and performance of design-led methods and tools for resilient and sustainable development of urban food-energy-water resources at multiple scales.
